The Tissot PRX 35MM T137.210.11.081.00 is the little sister of the PRX 40 205, commonly known as the Disco watch. Even on a small scale of 35 millimeters case diameter, the three-hand watch picks up the iconic retro look of the 70s original. The perfect ladies’ watch in the entry-level segment?

A few days ago, my partner uhrenarena.de lent me a new version of the Tissot PRX 40 205 for a short review. The Swiss manufacturer has significantly expanded its PRX range this year and now offers more color variants. The models with a green dial are particularly eye-catching. Now I’ve taken a look at the Tissot PRX 35MM T137.210.11.081.00. Also equipped with the trend color of the year 2022, the flat quartz timepiece is especially suitable as a ladies’ watch. The case, which measures just 35 millimeters, fits more petite wrists in particular. Although Tissot has shrunk the PRX, the designers have managed to retain the harmonious proportions. The Tissot PRX 35MM T137.210.11.081.00 still looks like the great model from the 70s. In the dark, the watch comes into its own with its luminous indices.
Why green is not equal to green
However, I am undecided on one point. Why do the 35 and 40 millimeter variants have different shades of green? At least from the official product photos, the difference is not apparent. In reality, the large watch (reference T137.410.11.091.00) tends to be more aqua than a rich green. Which you like better is ultimately a matter of taste, but it does cause confusion.
There are no differences in quality. Even on the small model, the polished and brushed stainless steel feels good and appears to have a high-quality finish. Anyway: nothing beats the tonneau case, which is just 9.6 millimeters thin. Inside, an ETA F05.115 quartz movement of Swiss manufacture is working. Wearers of the ladies’ watch also get to enjoy scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on the front and decent water resistance to a depth of 100 meters. Water splashes do not pose a problem.
The hexagonal case blends beautifully into the individual links of the stainless steel bracelet, which tapers towards the clasp. The wearing comfort is decent. An advantage for Tissot buyers at uhrenarena.de: here, a second strap is included, in case boredom should arise.
Conclusion: hardly any points of criticism
The PRX as a ladies’ watch – does it work? Yes, and very well. Qualitatively, the Tissot PRX 35MM T137.210.11.081.00 is on par with the 40 205. Only the different color tones tarnish the good overall impression a bit. However, the disco feeling is not lost. Like its big sister model, the Tissot PRX T137.210.11.081.00 costs 375 euros. That makes the watch interesting for beginners as well.
