2022: Trend color green
For me, the new edition of the PRX was one of the highlights of last year. The stylish stainless steel watch in a 70s look has convinced me completely in the first test. A striking design, high-quality workmanship and smart marketing strategies have laid the foundation for the success of the PRX 40 205. There doesn’t really seem to be an end. Tissot follows up and gives us a new interpretation of the quartz watch.
However, the changes only affect the color of the dial. The hip shade of green is one of THE trend colors of 2022, and in my opinion, it’s a must-have on the wrist. This is not only true for those who already wear the timepiece in black or blue. But: pay attention to the case size. The reference T137.410.11.091.00 tested here is equipped with a case diameter of 40 millimeters. Thus, in my opinion, both genders can buy the watch. However, if you are specifically looking for a ladies’ watch, you should take a closer look at its smaller sister. This is also available with the green dial at Tissot.
The dial of the Tissot PRX 40 205 T137.410.11.091.00 presents itself minimalist and impresses with its sunburst finish. It is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. In the glow of the neon lights in the club, this watch feels at home. The luminous indices and hands are shown off to their best advantage this way. You’ll find a rectangular date window at 3 o’clock.
High quality materials, stylish look
The flat, hexagonal tonneau case picks up on the zeitgeist of the 70s. However, I actually find it timeless. It blends into the links of the stainless steel bracelet in a single cast. Tissot itself refers to this as “reptile design.” The mix of brushed and polished surfaces looks stunning. The same is true for the build quality of the stainless steel. Tissot PRX 40 205 T137.410.11.091.00 does not have to hide from much more expensive watches. The stainless steel band is comfortable to wear. Because Tissot does not skimp on the butterfly clasp, it ensures a secure fit. A plus point: when you buy a Tissot watch in the Uhrenarena store, you get another bracelet on top!
In the case, the stylish watch drives a Swiss quartz caliber from ETA. Who wants to do without a higher-priced automatic model and is primarily interested in the 70s design, is well advised with the Tissot PRX 40 205 and saves money. After the purchase, you can look forward to an exciting wristwatch that still exudes the same disco magic as before. Qualitatively, it may dare to look towards the premium segment. The price is 375,- Euro.
