Dial design inspired by Kigumi
At the heart of the design is the three-dimensional dial, whose lattice-like structure is inspired by Kigumi—a traditional Japanese construction and woodworking technique that requires no nails or metal fasteners. The delicate geometric patterns of wave-like ridges and precisely crafted openings are reminiscent of the functional beauty of this centuries-old technique.
The Hanada-Iro blue changes its effect depending on the incidence of light and the viewing angle, capturing the atmospheric transition from dawn to early morning. The inspiration for this is the mystical silhouette of a five-story pagoda, a national cultural treasure that appears in the morning mist of Yamagata Prefecture, the production site of MR-G watches.
The fine openings in the dial allow light to pass through, ensuring efficient energy generation that supports the reliable operation of the watch.
Multi-component case – craftsmanship meets high-tech
The case and bezel consist of 27 precisely manufactured individual parts, which are meticulously polished before assembly. This multi-component concept combines traditional Japanese craftsmanship with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, giving the watch its characteristic depth and presence.
The case follows the iconic 2100 design and is made of titanium encased in a steel precious metal finish. A titanium carbide coating provides exceptional durability and underscores the uncompromising toughness for which G-SHOCK is known.

The bracelet is made from DAT55G, a special titanium alloy. With a hardness approximately three times that of pure titanium, it offers exceptional durability and comfort. Intelligent functions for global precision
The MRG-B2100D-2ADR also sets standards in terms of technology. The watch can be paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth® and automatically connects to time servers on the internet. Daylight saving time, time zones, and the time are updated automatically, so the watch displays the time with absolute precision worldwide at all times—reliably and fully automatically.

The MRG-B2100D-2ADR will be available from February 10, 2026, at a recommended retail price of €4,200. It will be available online at casio.com and from selected retailers.
