G-Shock watches in gold and red have become a tradition in China to celebrate the New Year. Casio has already unveiled an evolution of these limited edition Chinese zodiac watches with more exclusive premium models. The previous MTG-B1000CX-4A for the Year of the Tiger was the first to use an MT-G watch as its base.
For 2023, the MT-G line was once again chosen to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit with the G-Shock MTG-B3000CX-9AER.
Like the recently released GM-110EARTH-1A, which is inspired by Earth, this new release has a planetary theme with a design inspired by the moon.
The gold bezel has a 3D textured surface, similar to the GM-2100MG-1AER.
The dial also features a pattern of the moon’s surface. The caseback is engraved with an exclusive Year of the Rabbit emblem.
The MTG-B3000CX-9AER is a Japanese-made model made of stainless steel, a sapphire crystal and a case made of carbon reinforced resin.
It is a relatively slim G-Shock, measuring 51.9 x 50.9 x 12.1 millimeters and weighing 148 grams.
Key features include 200 meter water resistance, Triple G Resist (shock, centrifugal and vibration protection), Bluetooth mobile connectivity, dual time, 1-second stopwatch, 24-hour countdown timer, daily alarm and LED light.
In Germany, it will be released in January or February, or is even partially available already!
