Inspired by the concept of futuristic, impact-resistant structures
Starting December 15, G-SHOCK is launching a limited edition of 2,000 VIRTUAL G-SHOCK NFTs (non-fungible tokens). The NFTs feature virtual images of futuristic, shock-resistant G-SHOCKs. In the run-up to the sales launch, the G-SHOCK CREATOR PASS will be issued on November 28, offering holders preferential purchasing rights, among other things.
In September 2023, Casio launched the VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project, which enables communication in a virtual space and serves as a point of contact with Gen Z and other new users. Initially, free G-SHOCK CREATOR PASS NFTs were distributed, allowing holders to participate in the Discord community. (*1) The first batch of 15,000 limited edition NFTs was fully distributed within six hours. A number of co-creative projects were also carried out.
G-SHOCK NFT watches – The launch is imminent!
On December 15, the next step in the VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project will see the VIRTUAL G-SHOCK NFTs go on sale. These are inspired by the theme of the futuristic, shock-resistant G-SHOCK structures. Two different designs are available: The VGA-001 features a balloon design. It is reminiscent of a colorful G-SHOCK dancing freely and covered in balloons. The VGA-002, on the other hand, features a leaf spring concept. It uses the power of springs to powerfully absorb shocks.
Ahead of the launch of the VIRTUAL G-SHOCK NFTs, additional G-SHOCK CREATOR PASS NFTs will be distributed free of charge from November 28 to provide interactive access to the community. The G-SHOCK CREATOR PASS NFTs were very popular when they were first launched. Holders of these NFTs will receive preferential treatment during the pre-sale period of VIRTUAL G-SHOCK NFTs.
