The Tissot Chronograph PRC200: functional, sporty and easy on the wallet. With the PRC200 chronograph, Tissot wants to attract targeted buyers who are looking for a masculine daily rocker for everyday wear. Those who can do without a mechanical caliber, but not without Swiss quality, should read on here….
A chrono as you would expect it to be!
Visually, Tissot won’t have to worry. The PRC200 chronograph, reference T114.417.11.057.00, is the epitome of a typical men’s watch with a sporty touch. Not too fancy, but never boring either. This is mainly due to the chic stainless steel bracelet and the yellow hands. On the basis of these, the subdials characteristic of a chronograph can be read easily. The functions small seconds, 30-minute time and an end-of-life indicator should leave nothing to be desired. Thus, the Tissot Chronograph PRC200 proves to be race track ready. I quite like the haptic feedback of the two pushers when stopping the time. In the dark, luminous indices make it possible to read the time. Between 4 and 5 o’clock, a date window was embedded.
The dimensions convinced me. Due to the case diameter of 43 millimeters, the Tissot Chronograph PRC200 never manages to be thick on the wrist. It often happens that masculine chronographs in the mid-price segment tend to be ostentatious. Here, Tissot demonstrates sensitivity. The designers of the traditional Swiss brand have given the PRC200 Chrono the necessary seriousness. That is why the men’s watch is perfect for any situation in life. The timepiece masters beach vacations just as well as sports activities or business meetings. The transitions are fluid.
Quality you expect from Tissot
The silver-colored case is made of classic stainless steel. However, you should be prepared for scratches that the watch will get in the course of its life. This is inevitable with polished surfaces, despite the high quality. Because of the compact quartz movement, Tissot was able to design the case 12 millimeters high. Practical: the end-of-life indicator tells you when you should replace the battery. This should be done after a couple of years, but is not a costly act. Tissot states that the Chronograph PRC200 is water resistant to a depth of 50 meters . This makes the watch rather splash-proof, but not a diver’s watch. Also worth mentioning are the screw-down case back and the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
My personal highlight of this watch, however, is the fine-linked stainless steel bracelet. I was taken with the wearing comfort, the look and the practical butterfly folding clasp. Also on board is a dive extension. By fine adjustment, you can set the bracelet to the length that suits you. When you buy at uhrenarena.de, you get an additional strap.
My final conclusion is overall positive. With the purchase of a Tissot Chronograph PRC200 you do a lot right. The men’s watch stands out for its performance and quality. This qualifies it as the ideal companion on the wrist. A real daily rocker. The price is 475, – euros.
