Norderstedt, 20 June 2023 – G-SHOCK launches the latest model in its popular MR-G series, celebrating two anniversaries at once: the 40th anniversary of G-SHOCK and the 30th anniversary of the iconic FROGMAN. The MRG-BF1000E is a shock-resistant titanium diver’s watch in eye-catching bright yellow and is a real speciality with a limited edition of only 700 pieces worldwide.

The materials etc. are exactly the same as the MRG-BF1000R from the spring, just with different colours and a second strap made of titanium. And it is limited to 700 pieces worldwide.”

Already this spring, the Japanese brand launched the MRG-BF1000R as part of the 40th Anniversary models. The MRG-BF1000E adapts the design of the MRG-BF1000R and wears a bright yellow in honour of this double anniversary, reminiscent of the yellow of the very first FROGMAN, the DW-6300 from 1993.
In addition to the iconic colour used for the strap and indexes, the crown, buttons and screws have a gold ion coating and the part of the case back is finished with gold vapour deposition. An interchangeable titanium bracelet is included. The careful treatment of each link of the bracelet with an abrasion-resistant deep hardening and a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating before assembly gives the bracelet a high-quality and lavish appearance.
Packaged in a special box with G-SHOCK 40th and FROGMAN 30th badges, this timepiece is more than just a watch – users can showcase this limited edition as part of their G-SHOCK collection.
As with the basic model, the hour and minute hands overlap in dive mode to form a single hand, making it easy to read the elapsed dive time. The watch’s three dual-coil motors make it easy to quickly switch from the current time display to the dive time display, making this a particularly practical diver’s watch.
